meet the teachers
Julie Lim began her teaching career at Christ the King School in 2004 as the third-grade teacher and transitioned to the fifth grade in 2017. During her earlier years, she taught multiple subjects in lower grades (2nd – 4th) along with her third-grade class. Julie loves teaching mathematics for its real and tangible aspects, especially when students reach the eureka moment of understanding a math theory! She also enjoys seeing how students are able to interpret social studies and expand historical concepts in today’s environment. Her teaching philosophy is that a classroom is a community in which all participants, from the teacher to the students to the parents, must work together to create an encouraging space for learning.
Outside of school, Julie tries to explore the surrounding areas with her kids, hones her photography skills, and takes care of her three plant babies. She also takes delight in searching for good eats and the next vacation destination. Julie graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. |
