meet the teachers
Alyssa Meyer was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended Immaculate Heart High School, which lead to finding her joy in teaching. She continued her education at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois where she earned both her bachelor’s and master's degrees. Alyssa received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Sciences. She earned her master’s degree as a Reading Specialist. She is licensed to teach Elementary Education from Kindergarten to Grade 8.
Alyssa served as the Accelerated Reader Coordinator and Reading Specialist for two years in Chicago. She was the second-grade teacher at St. Genevieve Elementary in Los Angeles and also served as the Associate Teacher in Second Grade at The Wesley School before joining CKS. In her free time, Alyssa loves reading, playing with her dog, crocheting, drinking iced coffee, and spending time with her family and friends. |
