Letter from the Archbishop

So far, this new year has been a whirlwind. I was reading a Washington columnist described the other day the way you see things from the capital of the nation: “We are living through defining moments in history and here nobody knows where we are going or what will end this period. All- the left, […]

February 8th International Day of Prayer and Awareness for Human Trafficking

This February 8th, the Catholic community in Los Angeles will join the International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking. We remember St. Josephine Bakhita, who in the 19th century was sold into slavery in Sudan. We ask her intercession for the estimated 21 million victims of the modern day slavery of human trafficking. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT CKS...

Christ The King School (CTK) has been a good partner in raising my children to be responsible and good citizens of our community. It does take a “village” to raise your children and each day I feel confident that my children are getting the best education in preparation for whatever plans God has for them.

Dr. Arnel Joaquin, Dad of Leandro, 5th grade; Vincent, 8th grade; and Paolo, CKS Alum

CKS educates kids with a team working together to bring out the best from each students in…

Catherine, mom of Azaclarisse Trillo, 7th grade

Great foundation for my daughter! She started in Kindergarten and now graduating as an 8th grader in June 2013.  The school is really fulfilling its mission to develop its students’ unique God-given talents through it’s challenging academic curriculum and a wide-range of extra curricular activities. These enabled my daughter to grow physically, socially and spiritually; and of course, to excel in her academics!  Great faculty and staff: They care about the success of each student… The Principal,…

CKS is a school with high academic standards, many extracurricular opportunities for the children, and provides a nurturing and diverse school community. In the eight years we’ve been in this school, the faculty and staff have continually strived to become even better with improvements to infrastructure, technology, and communications. The teachers and faculty recognize each student’s individuality and works with them to be the best they can be, academically and spiritually.

Nancy Lantin - Parent

This school gave me a great educational and religious foundation that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. This is the place where I made great friends and had academic success.

Divya George - 2009 Alumna

Congratulations on such accomplishments to the students, teachers, and you Ms. Anderson. The children exemplify a loving caring school family as well as being academically relevant, that you provide!

Constance Destito - Grandmother of Fabian, 7th Grade

Christ the king is a gem hidden in Hollywood. The teachers are surprisingly thorough in the early years (grades 2 to 4) and students get to know advanced skills and truly compare quite well with other prestigious private schools. I know since I have a child who studied here and went to to a top high school and college.

This is a wonderful school, the community is really welcoming and the teachers and staff are all very friendly and helpful which made our transition a dream. Our 6 year old daughter has learned so much more in the last 3 months than she did in a whole year at her old school. We made the right choice.
